Potential for pain and discomfort in head related to obstruction in brain (benign tumor).

To relieve patients pain with interventions within 2 hours.
interventions
1) Report to the cover nurse so that she may provide medications that will help with this headache.
2) Assess and monitor vital signs. (because of their high level of pain it will elevate their pulse and respirations)
3) Make the patient feel comfortable by providing a calm and quiet area.
4) Give the patient a cold cloth for their head to provide comfort and reduce headache symptoms such as the pain.
5) Turn off light to promote rest.
6) Give therapeutic massages to calm the mind and relax the muscles.
